OUR MISSION
To examine the social and economic landscape of our city. Using the arts as a means to analyze structural racism and poverty, we strive to build community through lifting up stories of people-power, solidarity, and social change.

OUR MODEL
We are a group of independent artists committed to producing new work through grassroots support. Our creative producing model is informed by a network of activists, community organizers, and artists dedicated to social change. We create stories with the community, by the community, for the community.
The Action Art Collaborative is funded by a grassroots network of citizens dedicated to art as a means of civic engagement and social change, fiscally sponsored by Midwest Artist Project Services (MAPS), and with support from the donors below.
